It has a careful curated list of over 450 experienced doctors across over 45 specialities. Patients can select any doctor of their choice, select any of the available slots of the doctor and book an appointment and consult the doctor all from the comfort of their home. Getting access to senior doctors and consulting them has never been easier.

DocGenie Services: A user gets access to DocGenie's panel of certified and experienced doctors to consult for any non-emergency medical situations. Using DocGenie services through the web, one can avail either video/audio consultations, get pathological tests done and keep and retrieve all medical records securely, anywhere and anytime! Who can use DocGenie services? Can I get a doctor of my choice?

DocGenie can be used by anyone above the age of 18 years with a secure identification process. Users can also book appointments on behalf of their children if they are under 18 years of age. DocGenie is an Online Doctor Consultation Platform. Yes you can book a consult with any doctor of your choice from our panel of doctors that you see on the platform.

How do I get an appointment? What happens if I miss an appointment?

The booking process is very simple. Once you sign-in to your account by entering your mobile no and the One time password (OTP), just select the doctor and select a date and time for your appointment as per the availability slots of the doctor. Once you make your payment online, you will receive an email and sms notification confirming your appointment.

We will send you a reminder alert 10 mts before your appointment. In order to respect the doctor's professional time, we urge you to sign-in to your platform on time or join the call through the link we send you on whatsapp on your registered no. In case you are getting delayed, please give us a call beforehand and we will reschedule your call as per the next available convenient time slot. You are eligible for a refund if you cancel your appointment atleast 2 hours prior to your appointment time. Please contact our support team for any assistance.

How do I keep track of my medical records?

All your medical records and reports are safely stored in our secure servers on Amazon AWS and never shared with anyone without your explicit permission. Any medical information you share with us or your reports you upload or doctor generated prescription is all visible to you in your dashboard so you can view and retrieve them whenever you need. DocGenie is a safe, secure and free space for you to store any medical records for easily retrieval whenever you need.

How do I receive my prescription for medication?

At the end of the consultation, you will be receiving the doctor's prescription in an e-prescription format. The e-prescription will be sent to your email and you can also view it in 'My Appointments' section of your dashboard.

If my dependents are unaware about the usage of the smart phone, how do they connect with your doctor? Do you send reminders before the call?

On behalf of your dependents, you can always book a time-slot. They will get an email and sms alert 10 minutes before the call with a link. Once they click on the link and enter the registered mobile no and one time password, go to "My Booked appointments" section. Our video system allows multiple users to be on the call at the same time so you and your dependents can be on the call with the doctor at the same time.

Can I book two appointments for two of my family members at the same time?

Yes you can book an appointment for each of your family members with separate doctors at the same time.

Do you assure the satisfaction of service? What happens if I am not happy with my experience?

Of course! DocGenie believes in helping you get complete care with the best doctors. As the Genie says - "your wish is my command". Ofcourse, you need to also keep in mind that doctor's apply their expertise and do their best to diagnose your problem and recommend treatment. But not always it is possible to get it right first time. Also, do remember, the decent quality of internet service is critical to complete a proper video consultation and we would expect you to make sure you do the video call from an area with a good internet connection.

If you are unhappy with the consultation you got in terms of your inability to use the platform properly or complete your call or feel the doctor did not hear you out properly etc, we would love to hear from you and do our bit to help get you treated. If there is anything we could have done better, we would certainly try to even if that means, we connect you for free with another doctor or refund your money. Your good health is our only concern.

You pick the doctor that you want to talk to every time whether it is a first consultation, a follow up call or a second opinion. And unlike other websites, we try not to confuse you with a choice of too many doctors. We handpick few very doctors just to make sure you get the best care.

If the patient is not happy with the consultation provided by a doctor, then what can I do?

DocGenie is committed to helping you receive the best possible care from qualified and experienced doctors. Our doctors use their medical expertise to carefully understand your concerns and recommend appropriate treatment. For the best consultation experience, it is important that the video call is conducted from a place with a stable internet connection so that communication between you and the doctor is clear and uninterrupted.

Why should I use DocGenie for non emergency cases, when I am capable of self diagnosis?

Nowadays, people are well-educated and can easily procure information since it is available in abundance on the internet - but often, this leads to misdiagnosis. Many of the information may be just opinions and are not fact based. Remember that AI tools that proclaim to suggest treatments are known to be right only 52% of the time. Professional doctors know what is right and what is not. Feel free to ask questions during your consultation, but only follow the prescription they prescribe to you. Now that you have access to good doctors from the comfort of your home or office, why risk a self diagnosis.

If my prescription is not clear or I have any doubts, then what should I do?

If your prescription is not clear, please feel free to sign-in to the platform and chat with your doctor and seek clarifications. Or you could just contact our helpdesk and we will be happy to help you out.

If I don't use the DocGenie platform for many months or years, will my data be still kept safely?

Yes, once you register with us, your information will always be available on the platform. And our promise to keep your data safe and secure always remains.

Can I get my money back if I want to cancel an appointment?

Yes please let us know at least 2 hours in advance of your appointment time so we can inform the doctor and cancel the appointment. The refund is processed within our payment gateway and the refund usually gets credited to the same payment instrument you used for making payment within 5-7 business days depending on the bank or the payment provider's timeline.

Do we provide nurses at home for the elderly?

We work with multiple trusted providers for a range of other services. We can certainly help you with finding nurses or attendants. Kindly contact our customer support team.

How does promo code work?

If you have a promo code, then please enter that during the booking process in the box provided and it will apply the requisite discount.

How many family members can be registered as part of one mobile no.?

There is no limit on how many family members you can register as part of one mobile no. However, at the time of booking an appointment, please make sure you select the right patient and fill in their details only.

Can I book a monthly plan for elderly so I don't need to make a payment every time?

Yes, we can help you with that. Please call us at our helpdesk or email us at support@docgenie.in, and we can help you through this.

Can I cancel a monthly plan?

Sure, you can cancel a plan anytime you want and we will refund the balance unused amount to you.

Are DocGenie calls covered by CGHS?

We don't have a tie up with CGHS currently. However, we do provide an invoice for every consultation booked and you could check with CGHS if they can reimburse that for you.

Are the calls on DocGenie recorded?

We may record a few calls just for internal training purposes.

I am from the US and trying to set up a call for my relative in India. I do not have an India no. How do I register?

Please don't worry. You can now register with your international mobile number as long as it has Whatsapp. You will receive your one time password on your Whatsapp.

How to Register Yourself & Get Started?

We have a simple registration process to get you onboard and start utilizing our services seamlessly. Follow these 4 simple steps to get started:
STEP 1: Click https://www.docgenie.in
STEP 2: Click "Sign In"
STEP 3: Enter your mobile no and click on "Get OTP". You will receive an OTP on your phone which you should enter in the box provided and click "Verify".
STEP 4: You will then be asked to enter some mandatory details of the patient required as per the telemedicine guidelines in India. Once you enter all details, click the box to accept terms and conditions and privacy policy of the website and then you can click register to complete the registration. Please note that while email address is not mandatory, please do enter if you have one in order to get your prescription from the doctor over the email.

You will get an email, whatsapp and sms confirmation on your registered email address and mobile no. about your registration. Get started with booking online doctor consultations or lab tests.

Payments & Refunds
What are the payment methods you accept?

We accept payment through the following methods:

Please note that we currently do not accept payments through Paypal.

Are my credit/debit card information secure?

Absolutely! Your card details will NOT be stored anywhere. Your card information goes through a completely secured and approved payment gateway for processing and is not stored with DocGenie.

How do I get refund if I cancel my appointment?

If you cancel your appointment before 2 hours of the appointment time, you can request a refund. Please email us at support@docgenie.in or whatsapp message us at +91 9818093267, +91 9599011287 or call our helpdesk support team and they will help you with this.

Incase you wish to talk to another doctor instead, we try and facilitate to the best of our ability. Incase, we are unable to do that, we will refund the money you paid for this particular consultation. The refund will be processed through the payment gateway and the credit will be done back in the same payment instrument that you had used to make a payment.

How long will it take to receive a refund back?

Your refund will be processed via the payment gateway within 24 hours of your request and it will get credited to your payment instrument through which you paid within 5-7 working days depending on the processing time your payment provider takes.

How is my personal health information stored?

All information concerning appointments and medical records are subject to strict confidentiality, which are in accordance with the legal framework. Only the information that you update in your Health Profile, and the prescriptions provided by the consulting doctors are available for viewing.

How secure is my data and private information?

We assure you that all our conversations are secured as we use the highest standards of technology through which your calls are encrypted and cannot be accessed by any means. Data is stored in AWS cloud servers with advanced level of protection. We are a HIPAA and ISO27001 certified platform that follows all data privacy and security protocols.

How fast can I get connected to a doctor on your platform?

You can book an appointment from the next 30 minutes depending on the choice of your doctor and their availability. We facilitate appointments between 9am to 8pm all 7 days currently.

Do I need an internet connection to use DocGenie services?

Yes, you need an Internet connection to book any kind of consultation – audio/ video call or chat. Internet connection is essential for the purpose of booking a call. Although it is recommended to use a secure Wi-Fi Internet connection for the best possible experience, our services also work fine with 3G or 4G connection.

I don't have a very good connection. What can I do?

We recommend you find a location with good internet connectivity for your consultation. In the event of a poor connection, the platform automatically switches off video and you can continue to do an audio chat with the doctor.

I am unable to access the DocGenie website? What do I do?

Does this work on any device?

We support all Android, IOS or Microsoft operating systems and you can reach us for a video or audio consult on any mobile phone, laptop, PC or tablet.

How long does a typical consultation last?

Most consultations typically last 10–20 minutes, depending on the nature of the medical concern and the doctor's evaluation. If additional discussion or follow-up is required, the doctor may recommend scheduling another appointment.

Can I upload my medical reports before the consultation?

Yes, you can upload previous medical reports, prescriptions or test results in your login under upload documents before the consultation. The doctor will be able to review these during your appointment.

Can I consult the doctor through audio instead of video?

Yes, you can join the consultation using the same link and choose to keep your camera off if you prefer an audio-only consultation. Simply inform the doctor at the beginning of the call. This option can be useful if you have limited internet connectivity or prefer not to use video.

Can I consult a doctor immediately or only through scheduled appointments?

DocGenie currently works on a scheduled appointment model. You can choose the doctor of your preference and book the next available time slot. In many cases, appointments are available within an hour, depending on the doctor's schedule and availability.

Can doctors prescribe medicines during an online consultation?

Yes, Doctors can prescribe medicines as per Indian Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, depending on the nature of the illness and medical assessment.

Are there conditions that cannot be treated through online consultation?

Yes, certain medical conditions require physical examination or emergency care and cannot be fully treated through online consultation. In such cases, the doctor may advise you to visit a clinic or hospital.

Can I get a second opinion through DocGenie?

Yes, many patients use DocGenie to obtain a second medical opinion from experienced specialists.

Do I need to pay again for a follow-up consultation?

You can set up a free follow-up video call with the same doctor within 72 hours of any paid appointment, if the doctor has enabled this facility or offers free follow-ups.

Can DocGenie help me order medicines?

DocGenie provides a valid e-prescription, which you can use to purchase medicines from any pharmacy in India. Currently we do not have a medicine delivery option.

Can I book lab tests through DocGenie?

Yes, you can book lab tests through our platform. For any support you can approach our customer service team and they will help you book lab tests through our trusted diagnostic partners.

Do I need to install an app to use DocGenie?

Yes, we do have a web based app which you can download. DocGenie works directly through your web browser also.

Can I consult doctors from anywhere in India?

Yes, as long as you have internet access and a device, you can consult DocGenie doctors from anywhere in India.

Are online consultations legally valid in India?

Yes. DocGenie consultations follow the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines issued by the Government of India, which allow registered medical practitioners to provide online consultations.

What should I do in case of a medical emergency?
